Abhainn Dearg

Abhainn Dearg Whisky Abhainn Dearg has been Scotland’s westernmost distillery since it was founded in 2008. Abhainn Dearg, which means something like “red river”, is located in the Outer Hebrides, on the Isle of Harris and Lewis. Abhainn Dearg Distillery was founded and owned by Mark Tayburn, a native of the Isle of Lewis. Allt A Bhainne

This distillery produces a multiple of many other distilleries. Nevertheless, it is relatively unknown. The reason for this is that Allt-a-Bhainne has no owner bottlings. The malt produced here tastes sweet and has a typical floral, but also spicy aroma. Unfortunately, there was never an original bottling of the distillery, as most of the whisky produced in Allt-a-Bhainne is used to produce the Chivas Regal Blend.

Dalmore
