No Longer Does Tours? by ILikeNiceDarkBeer

We had a strange experience at Strathearn Distillery today. The whisky guide book (pub 2016) listed a couple of tours, and the website boasts a tasting experience of 8 different spirits including gins and new make malt.Nobody was answering their phone to take a booking but we decided to swing by anyway and see if they could fit us in.It took a while for us to find the distillery, it’s down an unmarked single track road, turn left at the holiday cottages. It shares a building with “Blue Sky” which is an outfit that do corporate training days or somesuch. On arrival, the guy said “we don’t do tours”.Not “we don’t do tours anymore” - not “sorry we stopped those” - the guy just seemed confused. If you search around, there are reviews by people who have been before and from a local Perth publication raving about their gin experiences. So I don’t know what the story is there. But the guy was SUPER nice and showed us around anyway, him and the distillers were happy to answer all our questions. So although we didn’t get the tasting experience or a full tour, it was cool to see and they were great guys.

Rag N Bone Man (Rouben's Rum) by Su F

Service & communication very good, this is ltd edition, hope to buy more from website. Had to purchase from Rag n Bone man site, but I am going to try other spirits from Strathearn Distillery website.

Gin Experience by Fiona L

What a fantastic day! Stuart, ably assisted by Abby, was a fantastic host. He is so passionate about the distillery and what they do that you can't help but enjoy the experience...although the gin tasting does help! Very interesting and informative. And to cap it all you leave with your own personalised gin...although there is no guarantee that it will be as good as those sampled on the day. Loved every minute of the experience and will recommend to others. Thanks Stuart.
