When visiting Kentucky you have to plan to take a tour on the Bourbon Trail. Go online and check out the map of all the distilleries that offer tours. Makers Mark is one of the better known names and the tour was fun.There are different types of tours to take we were on the general tour where you get to see the full start to finish process. It was very interesting and worth the side trip to get to Loretta . You need to reserve a tour time online before you go the tours book up fast.…oh yeah, you get to sample FIVE bourbons at the end of the tour.

This was a great tour; excellent bourbon. The gift shop was lacking, but the dipping the bottle experience looked pretty cool.Loved the Chihuly ceiling.

Beautiful Setting! by _SLH138_

We stopped here with no intention to take a tour, but thought we'd just look around the shop. We ended up walking around the grounds for quite some time. The setting is beautiful and is worth a stop.
