Great place to go for a visit, would suit a walk or a stop for lunch bbq. Seemed to be a free camp area on the grass next to the waters edge. Lovely views.

I hired a bike from crater to coast bicycle hire in timboon and I must say I got fantastic service and very affordable hire cost... I also rode the rail trail and had such an amazing experience with the scenery and trestle bridge is just devine and breath taking... Would definitely ride again ........

Awesome Experience but Be Warned About the First Section by Johnny R

I rode this trail from Camperdown to Timboon. Here is my warning. It is highly advisable not to ride the section from Camperdown to the other side of Lake Bullen Merri. The track use to go around the lake road but has been diverted around the back of the lake. You will have to ride on the road ( 100 km hour for cars with no bicycle lane). You are best to drive your car thru here as it is still extremely picturesque. My best advice is to start your ride on the trail which begins on Naroghid road.This is where it all begins and you wont be disapointed. The trail starts of with a few trees and lots of farmland. This trail keeps on getting better and better. Streams, bridges, forests, birds and wildlife. It is an awesome experience and not to hard. Do it.
