Glen Spey

Glen Spey is perhaps the most anonymous Scottish whiskey distillery in Rothes in the heart of the Speyside whiskey region. Its name is derived from the Gaelic word for valley and its immediate vicinity of the river Spey. Glen Spey means the Valley of the Spey. Since there have been few bottlings under the distillery’s name, the name Glen Spey is not as well known as the other distilleries in Rothes Glen Grant, Speyburn, Glenrothes and (now lost) Caperdonich.

Glenallachie

In 2017 GlenAllachie was taken over by Billy Walker, the mastermind behind the success of GlenDronach. With the takeover by Walker, the style of the distillery was clearly geared towards strong sherry barrel whisky. Our current insider tip is the GlenAllachie 12 Years. The heart of the standard range. It is characterized by its intense taste at a fair price. Glenallachie Whisky GlenAllachie, which means “Valley of the Rocks”, is a whisky distillery in Scotland’s Speyside.

Glenburgie

Glenburgie is a sweet, slightly oily and somewhat grassy single malt whisky, which is distilled in the north of the Speyside in the often overlooked distillery. As the majority of the production is processed in blended whiskies such as Ballentine’s outside of periodic bottlings Glenburgie is generally only available from independent bottlers! Glencadam

Glencadam is a Malt Whisky distillery in the Scottish town of Brechin in the eastern Highlands of Scotland, near the foot of the Cairngorms. The name Glencadam can be translated as the valley of the wild goose. Glencadam Whisky The Glencadam whiskey distillery is located near the River Esk, between the football stadium and the cemetery in the approximately 7,000-strong medieval town of Brechin near Montrose in the southern Eastern Highlands.

Glendalough

Glendalough is an Irish Craft distillery in County Wicklow on the Irish East Coast. Glendalough produces whiskey, gin and poitin onsite. Glendalough is from the Irish-Gaelic Gleann Dá Loch means “valley of the two lakes” Glendalough Whiskey 5 friends from Dublin and Wicklow jumpstart on the revival train of the Irish whiskey of recent years and realized their dream by creating the small innovative Glendalough distillery in 2011, named after one of the best known and perhaps most beautiful places of the green island in County Wicklow.
