Edradour

Edradour distills a typically spicy, malty single malt in the Scottish Highlands. In recent years, the distillery has grown from an insider tip to a regular favorite with a widening fanbase. Edradour can boast a variety of high quality bottlings. The experiments with various wine barrels create interesting malts that we can highly recommend. Those with a fondess for peat would do well to cast their eyes across their Ballechin brand.
Girvan

Girvan is the Grain Whisky distillery of the company William Grants & Sons, who are famouus for their Glenfiddich and Balvenie single Malts. The output from Girvan is more widely drunk as part of the Grants Blended Whisky brand but also has a number of single grain bottlings, several of which are quite exceptional. Girvan Girvan whisky distillery is located in the quiet coastal town of Girvan from which it takes its name.
Glen Elgin

Glen Elgin is a light and flower-fruity single malt from the eponymous Speyside town of Elgin. The single malt is particularly popular with independent bottlers, the majority of the production however disappears in blends. Amazingly in this sleepy corner of Scotlands Speyside, Glen Elgin worked for a long time without electricity. In 1950 the distillery was hooked up to the grid, prior to this paraffin were used. Glen Garioch

The Glen Garioch distillery is on the Oldmeldrum border and is connected by a narrow road to Aberdeen and Banff. The two founders, John & Alexander Manson, chose the location very deliberately because the ‘Valley of the Garioch’ region was known for the best barley in the country. Recommendations The standards include the Glen Garioch Founder’s Reserve (NAS) and the Glen Garioch 12 years - both single malts are matured in a combination of bourbon & sherry casks are well worth exploring.
Glen Grant

Glen Grant is a Speyside distillery in Rothes, about 10 miles south of Elgin. Previously owned by Chivas Brothers Ltd, Glen Grant is perhaps better known via the Chivas Regal blended scotch. Since 2005 it has been part of the Italian Campary group and has been acquiring a reputation for clear coloured, fresh and light single malt whiskies. The name derives from the family name of the Grants and the Scottish word for valley ‘Glen’.
