Dingle

The small craft distillery Dingle is in the south-west of Ireland. There, high-quality Irish single malt is distilled on three copper stills. The whiskies from Dingle are still quite young but already developing a following. Dingle Whisky In addition to whisky, the distillery also produces gin and vodka. With its even climate, the Dingle site offers good basic conditions for whisky production. The Gulf Stream ensures that temperatures never drop to freezing.

Fettercairn

Fettercairn is a unique Highland Whisky with a characteristic nutty spicy house style. If you are fans of typical highland whisky, you should definately try Fettercairn! Fettercairn Whisky The Fettercairn whiskey distillery is located in the village of the same name near Laurencekirk in Aberdeenshire in the Eastern Highlands of Scotland. The Fettercairn name (Gaelic: Fothair Chàrdain) means ‘the foot of the mountain.’ Fettercairn Distillery was founded immediately after the “Exise Act” in 1824 near Laurencekirk by Sir Alexander Ramsay as the 2nd legal distillery (after Glenlivet) in Scotland.

Four Roses

Four Roses is a popular Kentucky Straight Bourbon whiskey. Four Roses is produced in the distillery of the same name in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, and is almost annually amassed with awards. The Four Roses Yellow Label is their cheaper entry-level bourbon and entirely drinkable but more experienced connoisseurs should opt for the Four Roses Single Barrel. Four Roses The distillery produces 10 different types of whiskey, which result from two mash bills and 5 different yeast strains for each.

Glen Flagler

Glen Flagler Whisky Glen Flagler was built in 1964 by the American group Publicker, who were also called Inver House at the time. As the Garnheath Grain distillery, Glen Flagler and Killyloch were under a single roof it’s contentious whether Glen Flagler and Killyloch represent a single malt distillery or two seperate ones. Few argue that a malt distillery housed within a grain distillery should be considered a seperate enterprise however.

Glen Scotia

The Glen Scotia Distillery in Campbeltown has always worked in the shadow of larger, better known distilleries but in recent years has been acquiring a loyal fanbase. The distilleries core range is well worth exploring, and a number of superb independant releases are regularly available from Gordon & MacPhail, Murry McDavid and the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.
