Belfast

In the middle of the vibrant Northern Irish capital Belfast, a brand new distillery is being built in the historic Crumlin Road Gaol prison. How does Belfast Whiskey taste? Since it is still completely unclear when the first New Make will be bottled, this mystery will remain for a while. How is Belfast whiskey made? The pot stills come from Forsyths in Scotland, but their number is as yet unknown. Some former employees of the Northern Irish distillery Bushmills could be won for the project.

Ben Wyvis

The Ben Wyvis Malt Distillery only had a short specific life of just 11 years. And not even as an independent malt whiskey distillery, but as a facility within the large Northern Highland Grain Distillery Invergordon. Ben Wyvis Distillery Only 11 years after it opened, the Ben Wyvis distillery was shut down again in 1976, making it one of the shortest lived distilleries in Scotland. The facility was built to produce unpeated malt whisky for the Glasgow blender Whyte & Mackay and only a small handful of independent bottlings appeared on the market as single malt whisky for sale.

Benmore

Benmore was a whisky distillery in Campbeltown, Argyll and Bute, Scotland. Benmore operated for 59 from 1868 to 1927 before closing forever. Benmore was one of the later distilleries to be built in Campbeltown, built in 1868 by by the distilling and blending group Bulloch, loading & Co. it was possibly the first to put a pagoda roof on its malt kiln (now removed). Barnard describes Benmore distillery during his visit in the late 19th century saying: “It was the first of the three new Distilleries in Campbeltown, and its outside appearance resembles a public building rather than a manufactory of “Barley Bree.

Bernheim

Bernheim distillery, Louisville, was founded in 1992 by United Distillers, it was sold to Heaven Hill and renamed Heaven Hill Bernheim distillery in 1999. It was substantially refurbished to become Heaven Hill’s main distilling plant after the 1996 fire destroyed its earlier distilling plant in Bardstown. Old Bernheim Distillery In 1897 Bernheim Brothers. built their first distillery at 7th street and Bernheim Lane. Alas the old Bernheim Distillery in Louisville was not one of the most treasured distilleries of its age.

Bimber

Bimber distillery was established in 2005 by Dariusz Plazewski in an industrial area in North Acton, west London. The name Bimber is taken from the Polish word for moonshine. Production of Bimber whisky Plazewski emphasizes that he experimented with barley for a long time before he found the right one on a farm in Hampshire. It is malted by hand in Warminster Maltings, one of the last suppliers in the country that has not yet industrialized the process.
